It's never too late
to learn to drive
Whether you've never driven, stopped years ago, or learned in another country, we teach adults with patience and respect.

Adult beginners
Many adults in North Jersey never needed to drive until a new job, a move to the suburbs, or a growing family changed that. We start from the basics with no judgment.
Adults 17 and over usually begin with an examination permit after passing the knowledge and vision tests. The NJ Driver Manual says permit holders 21 and older need at least three months of supervised practice before the road test. Confirm your path with the NJ MVC.

I'm 30 and have never driven. Is that unusual?
Not at all. We regularly teach adults of every age who are learning for the first time.
Do adults need the 6-hour course?
The 6-hour behind-the-wheel requirement is tied to the special learner permit for 16-year-olds. Adults typically use an examination permit, but professional lessons are still the fastest way to learn safely.
How long until I'm ready for the road test?
It depends on your experience and practice time. Your instructor will give you an honest assessment.
